Sara was born in the Netherlands before her family moved to Austria in 2008.
She started alpine skiing in school and discovered the sport of skijumping in 2010 – and completed a long lasting move.
Sara became the outstanding athlete in the women`s World Cup season in 2020/2021 with 7 individual World Cup wins.
She definitely proved that her debut world cup victory from last season wasn`t a one hit wonder and made herself the one to be prepared for when it comes to the decisions in the Olympic games Beijing 2022.
Sara looks back to the most successful season and even though missing out on 2 individual competitions due to a false COVID test, she still managed to make it an incredible race for the overall world cup title where 3 athletes were only separated by 11 points in the end.
Finishing 3rd in the overall world cup, including 7 victories and 2 medals at the FIS Nordic World Championships in Oberstdorf (GER) – Sara is hungry for more next season.
The young, dynamic and talented athlete is very multi facetted and enjoys to be close to her family when she`s not travelling the globe. In her free time, she likes to cycle, take photographs and spend time with friends.
